WrestleMania 28 Results: Sheamus Keeps Rolling with Win vs. Daniel Bryan
Prior to tonight, a Royal Rumble winner hadn't been successful in winning a world title at WrestleMania since The Undertaker turned the trick against Batista in 2007. That is no longer the case, however, as Sheamus defeated Daniel Bryan in record fashion for the World Heavyweight Championship.
After getting a good-luck kiss from his girlfriend AJ, Bryan turned right into a Brogue Kick from the challenger and ended the match in 18 seconds—the quickest world-title change in WWE history—completing Sheamus' hot streak.
Since winning the title by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract at TLC, Bryan had continually found ways to weasel out of tough situations and retain his title.

Bryan's luck finally ran out, though, as he ran into the red-hot Celtic Warrior, who just continues to win.
Sheamus last eliminated Chris Jericho in the Royal Rumble and has crushed his competition ever since. Sheamus made the obvious decision to take on Bryan at WrestleMania, as it was already clear that Jericho would be challenging for CM Punk's WWE Championship.
It should come as no surprise that Sheamus and Bryan managed to put on a great match, as they had extra motivation because of what happened last year. Sheamus and Bryan were scheduled to have a match for the United State Championship at WrestleMania XXVII, but it was bumped due to time constraints and ultimately became a dark-match battle royal.
Perhaps they both had chips on their respective shoulders, as they managed to entertain in a big way. It doesn't seem as if this rivalry will be ending any time soon and we can probably expect to see a few more classic battles between Sheamus and Bryan.
Many were unsure of Sheamus' long-term potential after he fell into a funk following a quick push to the WWE Championship. This win on wrestling's biggest stage proves once and for all that Sheamus is one of the company's biggest stars.
