Who Else Will Be In The 2009 WWE Hall Of Fame? See Who Is In The Running
As many of you have seen Stone Cold Steve Austin will be inducted in the 2009 Hall of Fame. The much deserving star will be getting in, but who will be in the class with him? There have been speculations, but no one has been able to give a certain answer.
I looked to see what I could find and I found a few that have been talked about backstage and also some that have been contacted about being in the Hall this year.
Dory, Jr. and Terry Funk have been contacted to be in this year, the guys who made ECW and made NWA hardcore are two well deserving gentlemen. I have been a fan of the Funk's ever since I first saw them.

Terry has wrestled since the late 60s, and had wrestled to the 90s. Now they have been contacted, but that does not mean they have accepted yet. So we will have to wait and see if they do, but I'm sure they will.
The Von Erichs were talked about aswell. All of them have been staples of wrestling since I can remember. Although most died before I was born.
All used the Iron Claw as a finisher and it was devastating if pulled off right. They of course called it the Von Erich Claw.
I am not a wrestling historian, so I cannot tell you a lot about them. But I do know that they were in drugs.
All but one of the brothers died because of drug related problems with suicide. Fritz, the father died of natural causes. Kevin Von Erich is the sole survivor of the family.
And most of the brothers died very young too, which is sad to me. Because they all were popular with fans. And made a huge impact on the wrestling business.
It didn't matter who had which title, all were together in what they did. Which is one thing I respect about them.
Kerry Von Erich was my favorite to watch. I remember seeing old matches of his when I first got into watching wrestling.
I'd watch him and see how fluid he was in the ring, and saw how great he was. I always wanted to meet him, but then I found out I never could.
I know you all have your favorites in the business, and you all have favorite wrestling families. But the Von Erichs were the first family of wrestling. Some say it is the McMahons and others.
But I feel the first were the Von Erichs and that should be how it stays. All made an impact in the ring, which cannot be said by an entire family. Even the McMahons cannot say that.
There have been others talked about like Ricky Steamboat, and Randy Savage. I do not see Savage myself, but Steamboat is a big possibility to me. I guess we will have to wait and see.
Of course all of these men have been speculated by fans, and have been talked about by behind the scenes guys. Vince McMahon has even brought up the Von Erichs on a few seperate occasions.
But since it is not confirmed yet, I cannot tell you this is going to happen for sure. But when I find out I will let you all know of course.
Who do you think should go in?
