WrestleMania 28: John Cena's Car Wreck Least of His Worries vs. The Rock

Eric BallJun 1, 2018

The folks at WWE almost had the worst-case scenario occur.

According to TMZ, John Cena’s SUV was hit by a tractor trailer in Philadelphia on Monday. This comes a mere 13 days away from WrestleMania, where he will be facing The Rock in one of the most highly anticipated matches in WWE history.

While whiplash is a concern, by all accounts it sounds like he’ll be just fine.

Then again, maybe he’s not.

Cena faced off against Mark Henry in what looked like a routine primer before the big match on Monday Night RAW last night. Instead, the strongest man in the world looked absolutely dominant against a slow-footed Cena. Was this part of the plan or was Cena less than 100 percent?

Eventually a weakened Cena won, but that was quickly overshadowed by The Rock, who emerged right after the pin to enter the ring and give Henry the “Rock Bottom” he is so famous for.

Considering how big Henry is and badly Cena had just struggled to lift him up, it was really impressive.

Fans are dying to see The Rock back in the ring and just getting a taste has to have Cena concerned.

On top of the extreme home-ring advantage Rock has in Miami, it looks like there won’t be much rust to shake off. It seems like it was eons ago the last time he was in the ring, but there is no doubt Rock has taken care of his body and has been prepping for April 1 for a very long time.

Cena’s body takes a toll each-and-every week, as does the grind of traveling on the road for RAW. There is no question that Rock is going to have a strong advantage physically, especially the longer the match goes.

We all know it’s going to be one of the most memorable matches in the history of the sport, but after watching RAW less than two weeks from the main event, it’s hard to picture a scenario where Cena comes away with the win.
