WWE Music: 8 Disney Songs the WWE Should Use

Jacob WaringJun 7, 2018

WWE has been phenomenal in providing awesome music thanks to Jim Johnston whom composed some of the best themes in the WWE. I've personally memorized "Oh Radio" and even sang it from time to time to the annoyance of some of my family.

Some of the themes have been so pivotal in the identity of a wrestler that it's sometimes seem impossible to imagine them having any other song.

Now, what if, the WWE teamed up with Disney and borrow some of their classic and little known songs and convert them into themes for their wrestlers.

Not every single Disney song will work, as I doubt "A Spoonful of Sugar" would work as a WWE theme song but I feel that some will work splendidly if applied correctly.

I'm a 90's child and an avid watcher of all things cartoon as I've gorged my eyes with a lot of classic movies and shows.

Most people know that Disney films have an habit of having a musical number and I feel no shame in admitting I know many by heart.

So, here's my selection of songs I believe without a shadow of doubt would work splendidly as WWE theme songs!

Why Should I Worry ~ Zach Ryder

1 of 9

"Why should I worry" drips with such an intoxicating tune that it just makes you want find some of that street savoire faire. This is my favorite song out of Oliver and Company and is perfect for a certain fist-pumping wrestler.

I can easily just imagine Zach Ryder coming out with this song and with him woo woo wooing all the way to the ring. Ryder may be from Long Island but he lives close enough to the New York area to be treated with the same kind of loving zeal as a hometown boy.

We all might want want to find some of that street savoire faire, but Ryder has it oozing from his very pores!

A Star Is Born ~ John Cena

2 of 9

John Cena is always pulling out the stops to please his fans. Through Make-A-Wish Foundation, he made hundred of children feel like heroes as well by just meeting with them.

Cena may have already been a star for years but soon he's going to become a certifiable legend one day. Then truly he'll be born into a star of the caliber of icons like Hogan and Steve Austin.

Be Prepared ~ John Laurinaitis

3 of 9

John Laurinaitis can be best described by CM Punk as a "glad-handing, nonsensical, douchebag yes-man". Yet, beneath the the idiotic Raw general manager's apparent lack of productivity with being entertaining is a power-hungry man who wants to have complete control of the WWE.

Let's connect the dots as we've seen Johnny Ace conspire with Kevin Nash as a way to maneuver into a position to replace Triple H for overall control of the WWE.

Instead, he became interim General Manager of Raw and acted neutral as he "prepares" his chess moves to conquer a permanent spot as Raw general manager.

Now WrestleMania 28 will have Laurinaitis and his chosen stooges facing Teddy Long's team for control of both Smackdown and Raw. If he wins, it won't be long before his lust for power compels him to challenge Triple H for control of his CEO position.

The Siamese Cat Song ~ Bella Twins

4 of 9

Bella Twins are generally bland as faces as they act like any other Diva whose a face. When they are heel they just seem like a rip-off of Lay-Cool. Now Twins can be the sexiest things on God's green earth but on the flip-side can be incredibly creepy.

The Twins in the horror film The Shining gave me nightmares and those Siamese cats in Lady and the Tramp gave me the chills.

Imagine the Bella Twins dressed in Gothic clothes and finishing each other's sentences. Even saying things at the same time will come off creepy. It would bring a breath of fresh air to the division and make it more special than generic.

Besides, hearing the twins say, "Do you hear what I hear a baby cry? Where we finding baby there's milk near by and if we look in baby buggy there could be? Plenty of milk for you and also some for me!" would tinge the air with chills!

You Can Fly! You Can Fly! You Can Fly! ~ Evan Bourne

5 of 9

Obviously, this song would only work if Evan Bourne ever goes down the avenue of a comic character.

Yet, getting suspended twice does not usually lead to mega-push towards any titles. The gimmick could be that he enjoys being flashy and flying off the turnbuckle in hilarious fashion.

Of course, he won't win a lot but this song would fit him if he does go the comic route. Even if he doesn't have a gimmick change, he could simply pull the song off just base off the fact he can fly due to his phenomenal finisher!

I Wanna Be Like Other Girls ~ Beth Phoenix, Kharma or Natalya

6 of 9

Beth Phoenix, Kharma and Natalya could all be in a stable and dominate the Diva division and this song would be a perfect theme for their stable if they ever form one.

They ain't Divas who like to dress to impress like Eve does or a barbie doll wanna-be that Kelly Kelly is.

They ain't Princesses and they are the closest women in the WWE who could go one on one with their male counterparts and believably win.

They don't wanna be like the other Divas, but they wanna be like other girls.

The Phony King of England ~ William Regal

7 of 9

William Regal is an enigma as he can be tough, hilarious, deviously evil and a man who sometimes thinks he's king of the WWE.

When he was General Manager he would end Raw prematurely and abuse his power with both fans and wrestlers.

We all collectively roll our eyes when he acts like he's king when in reality, he's at best a poor man's Queen Elizabeth.

He can pull off having this as his theme, as he has the comic chops to make it his own.

The Headless Horseman ~ The Undertaker

8 of 9

Alright, I know no-one will agree that The Undertaker should have "The Headless Horseman" as a theme as we're all used to hearing the gong sound or a Johnny Cash song be used. In a way The Undertaker is the WWE's version of the headless horsemen.

He only shows up at a specific time of year, which is WrestleMania season. Any other point in the year is the other side of the bridge where Undertaker is beatable but at WrestleMania, Undertaker's powers are too great for anyone to win.

In some ways, the song does not fit him but in others way it fits him perfectly. It be matched with an entrance that can tells the story of The Undertaker through this song and what an entrance that would be!

The End

9 of 9

Not all Disney songs would be fit for being a WWE theme as they're not explosive or dynamic enough to be used. They touch upon universal themes such as love, hate and friendships when WWE themes should pump a crowd and be part of a wrestler's identity.

Yet, the eight I've selected are ones I strongly believe would perfectly fit in the WWE universe. There many classic and little-known Disney tunes that could be considered perfect candidates for being WWE themes, but for whatever reasons, I could not connect the dots.

Sound off in the comments if you have a possible Disney song that you think would be a perfect theme for any of the wrestlers in the WWE.
