Nicholas GossMar 16, 2012

The NCAA Tournament is in full swing as the second round action will come to an end on Friday night. There are several matchups that will be very exciting and give fans even more reason to watch the third round battles over the weekend.

You can watch all the tournament games live at NCAA.com, and on your iPhone, iPad and select Android phones.

Let's look at three second round games you can't afford to miss on Friday.

No. 2 Kansas vs. No 15 Detroit at 9:57 p.m. ET

This will be an exciting matchup because Detroit is the best No. 15 seed in this tournament and is capable of pulling off a stunning upset of Kansas.

Kansas has struggled with mid-majors in the last few years. Two years ago, the Jayhawks lost to Northern Iowa in the second round, and last season they lost to another mid-major in the Elite Eight in VCU.

Detroit has a lot of depth at the front court and have two centers, including starter Eli Holman, who have polished offensive games.

Kansas will have a real challenge in Detroit on Friday night.

No. 8 Memphis vs. No. 9 St. Louis at 9:50 p.m. ET

For pure entertainment value, this matchup between Memphis and St. Louis might be the best game on Friday's schedule.

Both these teams play a high-scoring, uptempo style of basketball that is exciting for both the players and fans.

Even though the Tigers are more talented and have more athleticism than the Billikens, St. Louis plays better defense and is well coached by experienced veteran Rick Majerus.

Whoever wins this game will give No. 1 seed Michigan State a real test in the third round.

No. 7 Saint Mary's vs. No. 10 Purdue at 7:27 p.m. ET

This will be another high-scoring game that could come down to the final few minutes. Saint Mary's is one of the best teams that most of America, especially people on the east coast, did not get a chance to see much of this season.

They are a very fundamentally strong offensive team that shares the ball and has several quality outside shooters.

Boilermakers star Robbie Hummel will be an exciting player to watch as he gets to play in the NCAA Tournament after missing the last two Purdue tournament runs with ACL tears.

This game could go down to the wire, but either way it's a must-watch because of all the offense that will be involved.
