Sur-Real Manchester, City Fans of '08-'09

Perm VacationJan 13, 2009

Manchester City fans, I personally have been one for 33 years through the High's and the Low's and even the lowest of the low's but never have I let go of City no matter what, I have always been behind my beloved Club.

Now that its Official that we have the Richest Club Owners I am somewhat baffled, brain freeze would be an understatement.

We have been gifted with the return of Shaun Wright-Phillips and the arrival of Vincent Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta, and Robinho for the first six months.

Then along comes the January transfer window and we are finally gifted with a quality left-back, for the past two years we have been crying out for a left-back but there is a few problems.

Michael Johnson, Valeri Bojinov, Martin Petrov were and are all injured and I believe one of the reasons we are struggling is because we are missing these players.

The whole thing is-was pretty much a mess, I can not make my mind up. Surreal is how I would describe a day feels in the life of a City fan, Surreal and messed up, the transfer window has halted and apart from Wayne Bridge we have not seen any other new signing arrive but are gifted with the knowledge that another of our first team midfielders have become injured.

We have been bombarded by the Media with players from all over the world.

Philip Lahm, Taye Taiwo, Bellamy, Scott Parker, Kaka, Kolo Toure, Yaya Toure, Esteban Cambiasso, Michael Owen, Diego, Shay Given, Iker Casillas, Kleber, may as well say half the Brazilian Squad.

None of us really know whats going on at City but I have to say this, right now our Club are asking for patience but we are running out fast. We have got to be the most patient football fans on the planet and I dont even know where my patience for the 33 years of my life have come from as I am about the most impatient person in my life.

We have been showered with Websites in the last 24 hours reporting that Manchester City Officials are in Milan trying to broker what would be the biggest deal in the History of Football.

Thats right, Reports suggest it is happening right now and the Newsnow.co.uk web portal is teaming with an extreme amount of websites from as far off as Arabia. With the amounts of money being mentioned it is hard to believe as on the one hand, what club in their right mind would turn down such an amount?, or on the other hand is it really true?.

Then I came across a small Article on a Manchester City Blog, it got so surreal that my mind hit lock-down and I needed a huge dose of Caffiene.

Marcotti claims Trojan horse tactics

It goes on to say that Italian Football Expert Gabriele Marcotti working for The Times reports that Gary Cook (senior City official) and Kia Joorabchian (Anglo-Iranian Businessman) met Adriano Galliani, Ariedo Breida, and Ernesto Bronzetti (senior AC Milan officials) to reach a deal for Milan keeper Dida.

It then goes on to say, It was only in the meeting that they changed topic to Kaka and continued by offering Milan a deal which apparently would be too much to turn down.

Previously I wrote an Article about City turning their attention from Kaka to the Brazilian Diego but it seems this Marcotti Article throws the Diego Article right out the window.

A big BIG box of mixed messages this January has been aye.

All I can say is, dont get your hopes up just yet fellow City fans, hold off for just alittle longer. Our time has almost arrived and when it does you will know.

The Future is Blue. Surreal but Blue.
