March Madness 2012: Friday Favorites That Will Fall
Fire up the upset machine because we are going to take it for a joy ride.
Friday will be yet another exercise in futility for some lauded favorites and I couldn't be any happier because of it.
I mean, what are really doing here? This is the college basketball equivalent of NASCAR fans waiting for a huge crash. We wait for hours just to see an epic stumble and bumble to the finish line by a team that wasn't supposed to win.

UConn's STACKED Schedule ☠️

Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
There is no better two days for this in the tournament than the opening two days. That means you need to savor the best days of the tournament by targeting the teams that are bound for failure.
No. 6 San Diego State
The day kicks off with one of the more evenly matched games on the day. No. 6 San Diego State is set to take on No. 11 North Carolina State in a game that the Wolfpack will control from start to finish.
The Aztecs will make one last ditch effort at the end, but have been far too inconsistent on offense to warrant any hope they pull this game out.
NC State is the hot team right now and will excite with an early upset.
No. 4 Michigan
Yes, Michigan will fall in a huge upset on Friday. The Wolverines are matching up with an Ohio team that is built for such endeavors.
Ohio's junior guard D.J. Cooper knows how to lead a team against a difficult test. Ohio will be well-equipped to pull off the biggest shock since they downed Georgetown in 2010.
No. 7 Florida
I agree that Florida comes in with a lower seed than they should, but they still have one of the toughest tasks in the first round in trying to exploit the Virginia defense.
Virginia can be stifling and unrelenting. While defense may not always win championships, I will take my chances that it wins early round tournament matchups.
