2012 NFL Mock Draft: Michael Floyd and Studs That Will Be Steals
Some lucky team is going to get Michael Floyd in the 2012 NFL draft, and he's going to be an absolute steal.
Floyd's stock has been rising ever since the combine, where he impressed just about everybody with his blazing 4.42 40-time.
This is a guy that's projected to be more of a possession receiver mind you, and he's running a sub 4.5, which is absolutely incredible.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
There are a plethora of extremely talented players in the first round of this draft that will be drafted later than they would in other years.
With guys like Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Trent Richardson and Matt Kalil being so good and filling such huge needs for the teams at the top, players like Floyd will be taken a bit lower than what their value would determine.
In my book, this constitutes as a steal. Here's my latest first round mock with an emphasis on a few of the biggest steals:
1. Indianapolis Colts: Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford
I dare say this is a steal for the Colts...
2. Washington Redskins: Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor
Great trade up here by the 'Skins, and you can already tell they are prepping for RGIII through free agency.
3. Minnesota Vikings: Matt Kalil, OT, USC
Such a solid pick by the Vikings. You can't go wrong with Kalil.
4. Cleveland Browns: Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama
Richardson is the best running back since LaDainian Tomlinson in his prime. Browns have to take him.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU
Buccaneers really improved their offense via Free Agency, now they will improve the defense.
6. St. Louis Rams: Michael Brockers, DT, LSU
With the extra picks they got from the Redskins, this pick becomes the cherry on top. Brockers could develop into one of the best.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma State
Blackmon just brings too much to the table for the Jaguars to pass up on.
8. Miami Dolphins: Nick Perry, DE, USC
Versatile defensive end that will be very effective on this team.
9. Carolina Panthers: Dontari Poe, DT, Memphis
Poe was a workout beast at the combine, and the Panthers need a stud on defense.
10. Buffalo Bills: Michael Floyd, WR, Notre Dame
Floyd is going to be an absolute steal for the Bills, especially considering some people think he may be the best receiver in this class after his combine performance.
Now that the Bills have signed Mario Williams, their defense is going to be spectacular. The offense already could put up numbers, but now you add a guy like Floyd who has great hands, spectacular size at 6'3'', 224 pounds, and can make plays just about anywhere on the field.
The Bills will be the best team in the AFC East with this pick.
11. Kansas City Chiefs: Riley Reiff, LT, Iowa
Reiff is a very underrated lineman considering he has to compare to Kalil. He'll be huge for the Chiefs.
12. Seattle Seahawks: Melvin Ingram, DE, South Carolina
Ingram is an athlete, and he's going to make this team extremely dangerous.
13. Arizona Cardinals: Cordy Glenn, OG/OT, Georgia
Glenn really impressed people at the combine, and the Cardinals could use a versatile lineman on that line.
14. Dallas Cowboys: David DeCastro, OG, Stanford
The Dallas Cowboys have to take DeCastro here. Truthfully, it's a miracle that they have the option here at 14, and he may be the ultimate steal.
In my humble opinion DeCastro is the second best overall player in this draft after Luck. He's almost perfect fundamentally, has great hands and feet, is strong, fast and finishes every play like he starts it.
The Cowboys need some help on the line, so they will snatch him up here.
15. Philadelphia Eagles: Dont'a Hightower, ILB, Alabama
The Eagles need help at the linebacker position, so Hightower will be a great value here.
16. New York Jets: Alshon Jeffery, WR, South Carolina
The Jets gave Mark Sanchez a ton of money, so now they have to give him some help. Jeffery will be a great wideout in this league.
17. Cincinnati Bengals: Lamar Miller, RB, Miami
I don't see Cedric Benson staying with the Bengals, which means Miller will be a very important pick.
18. San Diego Chargers: Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech
Not a huge fan of stretching for Hill here, but with Vincent Jackson gone this is a must.
19. Chicago Bears: Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State
The Bears have a legitimate wideout in Brandon Marshall now, so they'll take this pick to shore up the offensive line.
20. Tennessee Titans: Courtney Upshaw, LB/DE, Alabama
The Titans need some help at defensive end, so I see them taking Upshaw here and moving him down on the line.
21. Cincinnati Bengals: Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor
Adding Kendall Wright to this new look offensive roster makes the Bengals extremely dangerous.
22. Cleveland Browns: Stephon Gilmore, CB, South Carolina
The Browns may want to go offense here, but they desperately need some help at corner.
23. Detroit Lions: Jamell Fleming, CB, Oklahoma
Detroit took care of business in free agency, so they'll address a big need at corner.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Fletcher Cox, DT, Mississippi State
The Steelers will eventually use Cox as their nose tackle.
25. Denver Broncos: Mike Martin, DT, Michigan
Martin is a guy who would be more of a early second round pick, but the Broncos need some help on the defensive line. He is a relentless defender and will be a fan favorite.
26. Houston Texans: Mohamed Sanu, WR, Rutgers
This offense needs somebody to put across from Andre Johnson, and Sanu will fit the bill.
27. New England Patriots (via Saints): Janoris Jenkins, CB, North Alabama
Many will see this as a risky pick, but I could not disagree more. Jenkins is easily a top-15 talent, he just has lost a ton of stock because of some off-field issues, including getting dismissed from his original team, Florida
He's got good speed, plays very tough at the line-of-scrimmage and is a play-maker. The Patriots will take a chance here, hoping that their coaching staff can keep an eye on him.
He's going to be a huge steal.
28. Green Bay Packers: Whitney Mercilus, LB, Illinois
If Mercilus falls to the Packers here they will be getting a steal of epic prepositions, especially in their defensive scheme.
He notched 16 sacks last season and even though he played defensive end, I see the Pack changing him into a weak-side outside linebacker. He's going to be a beast with Clay Matthews across from him.
29. Baltimore Ravens: Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin
Great center of the future here for Konz.
30. San Francisco 49ers: Rueben Randle, WR, LSU
This may change depending on free agency, but the 49ers will want to get their offense as many vertical threats as possible.
31. New England Patriots: Jared Crick, DT, Nebraska
Crick will be a great pickup here for the Patriots, especially on their versatile defensive end.
32: New York Giants: Orson Charles, TE, Georgia
Charles has No. 1 tight end potential, so the Giants will take him here.
