March Madness 2012 Predictions: Underdogs That Will Mess Up Your Bracket
Nothing is worse than when an underdog exceeds your expectations and completely botches your March Madness bracket in the first few rounds.
At that point the whole month of March is essentially ruined. Don't let the underdogs ruin your month, and believe me, they will do it if you give them a chance.
Instead, be smart and take a look at these two teams that are sure to give their opponents issues.

They may be ranked lower in the seedings, but they don't care. Nothing is more dangerous than a confident team in the tournament,
A confident team becomes hot, and a hot team becomes unbeatable. At that point your bracket is in the trash anyhow, so what do you care?
Take heed of these two underdogs:
Iona Gaels:
Keep an eye out for Iona; they are an incredibly dangerous team. Sure, they have to technically play themselves into the tournament against BYU in the First Four, but that shouldn't discredit their talent.
They are literally the best offensive team in the country. They rank No. 1 in points per game 83.3, assists per game with 19.3 and second in field goal percentage at .504.
They also boast a great point guard/big man combo in Scott Machado—13.6 points, five rebounds, 9.9 assists per game—and Mike Glover—18.5 points and nine rebounds per game.
Many people are going to pick BYU over them because of name recognition, but that will be a mistake.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled off the ultimate upset over Kentucky. The Gaels have the potential to take this tournament by storm and absolutely destroy your bracket.
Virginia Cavaliers:
The Cavaliers are going to really screw up some brackets in 2012. They aren't the sexy pick, and being seeded No. 10 in the West means that they will most likely be underdogs in any game they play.
That being said, they do not play like a No. 10 seed. New head coach Tony Bennett has this team honed in on defense, and in my humble opinion, a defensive team is a very dangerous team in the tournament. These guys are just scrappy.
If you can take a team out of their game plan for just one game, you can do just about anything in March Madness.
Look out for the Cavaliers, especially in the first couple of rounds.
