WWE Wrestlemania 28: Why Dolph Ziggler Deserves to Face CM Punk

CM Punk is set to face Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 28. Meanwhile, former No. 1 contender Dolph Ziggler is currently left without a role at WrestleMania.

He will most likely be on John Laurinaitis' team for the 12-man tag-team match. But does he deserve more?

Ziggler has been one of the top young superstars to emerge this past year, and could be getting snubbed at WrestleMania.

Does Ziggler deserve to face CM Punk for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 28?

Ziggler Delivers Double-Duty

Many times this year, Dolph Ziggler has pulled double-duty at pay-per-views and weekly programming. With the recent retiring of legends and lack of depth on the roster, Ziggler was asked to work multiple matches on the card.

He was defending his U.S Championship title while also competing for the Tag Team Championships or being involved with the WWE Championship.

The WWE rewarded him for pulling double-duty by taking the U.S Championship in his hands and burying him in matches lately. Ziggler earned more than just being apart of John Laurinaitis' team.

Jericho Has Yet to Make a Real Impact

The best part of Jericho's return so far has been his mysterious promos. Since then, he has yet to make a serious impact that proves he deserves a title shot. He lost at the Royal Rumble and was unable to finish in the Elimination Chamber. 

Dolph Ziggler has been working hard every week, and Jericho recently returned. Ziggler may have deserved another title shot at WrestleMania, but that is the way the business works.

Ziggler Continues to Put on Exciting Matches

It feels as if Dolph Ziggler is a part of the most exciting match every week. On the most recent Raw, he delivered another exciting match against Sheamus. 

A big reason why he has been asked to pull double-duty so often is because of his ability to put on a good match. His consistency each week shows that he is ready to be in the main event picture for good.

CM Punk and Ziggler Have Great Chemistry

We have seen matches between CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler recently. Each time, they stole the show. These two work well together in the ring, and they could really push the envelope at WrestleMania and possibly put on a match like Macho Man vs. Ricky Steamboat.

Ziggler has been given a shot at the WWE Championship, but his time as the No.1 contender was short-lived. The sky is the limit when these two wrestle each other, and their match at WrestleMania could have stolen the show again.

Already a Generation vs. Generation Match

There already is a generation clashing match at WrestleMania between the Rock and John Cena. While CM Punk versus Chris Jericho is extremely intriguing, it will not be able to steal the show from the Rock and Cena. 

It already has been overshadowed by the Cena and Rock rivalry. The WWE could have saved Punk versus Jericho for another big event, which would make it more significant.
