WWE: United States Champion Santino Marella Is on His Way Up in the Company

Santino Marella is the current WWE United States Champion and gets as much pop from the fans as CM Punk it seems. Who would have thought?

When it comes to this one, there are no big muscles or record-setting championship reigns, but he does have a ton of charisma. The second his Italian music hits, the crowd goes nuts, and why? Because he is hilarious.

WWE has gone PG, much to the chagrin of fans worldwide. Despite that appearing to be a setback, a guy like Santino Marella comes along, and everyone forgets their troubles and has an amazing time. His comical routine works, and I haven't laughed so much in a very long time.

His track record isn't so bad either. He is a two-time former Intercontinental Champion, a Tag Team Champion and the United States Champion right now. Very impressive for a little clown, don't you think?

Santino Marella is such a success that if it continues this way, he may very well end up being granted a World title reign down the line somewhere. Granted, it may be short and transitional, but how far can his star rise? The fans love him. 

The only sad part about this is that it would be a complete joke and would be on the same lines as David Arquette winning the WCW championship, which would be a disaster and an insult to the history and lineage of the title he claims.

So this is quite a dilemma actually. Rewarding a hard worker is one thing, but slapping the face of every other able body of the company is another. Should Santino ever climb all the way up the ladder and grab hold of a WWE World title? He deserves as much a chance as anyone in this day and age.

Again, it is all about determination and hard work. It might not get to that point, ever, but at this time, everyone must accept the fact that the Italian Stallion in in fact on his way up in the company.

On a personal note, this Friday is RAW live at the Bell Center in Montreal and you can be sure that I am going to purchase one of those awesome green cobra gloves and wear it proudly.

He has that Italian charm and it spread all over the WWE Universe. Nice guys don't always finish last. Company officials should just go ahead and pair him up with one of the Divas right away. Maria and Beth Phoenix have already been whisked off their feet, but what about Layla or Kelly Kelly?

The sky is the limit for Santino Marella, who turns 33 on March 14, 2012. It is going to be a very good year.
