The best part about the NCAA tournament is the inevitable underdog upsets of high-seeded teams to make a run into the second weekend or even further.

NC State

The Wolfpack are a team no one really sees as a threat, considering their No. 11 seed.

However, they have two winnable matchups in a row and could easily be in the Sweet 16 before you know it.

They start off against San Diego State and, should they get past the Aztecs, move on to face the Georgetown Hoyas.

Georgetown isn’t as good as their No. 3 seed indicates, and they could easily falter against a Wolfpack team that easily could have knocked UNC out in the ACC tournament.

It will be a battle, but NC State could be dancing their way into the Sweet 16.

Long Beach State

The 49ers were everyone’s darling early in the season during their tough non-conference schedule.

They destroyed Pittsburgh, knocked off Idaho, kept it close with UNC and Kansas and upset Xavier.

Losses to Cal State Fullerton and Creighton later in the season hurt, but this team is still as strong as ever.

Casper Ware could become the hero of this tournament and a celebrity after a few wins.

Iona

Iona has to prove something to even pass the play-in round against BYU, but they are certainly capable.

They boast the No. 1 scoring offense in the nation and pour in 83.3 points per game while dishing out 19.3 assists per game, which also leads the country.

The Gaels are dangerous and could make a VCU-like run to the Final Four from a play-in game.
