SEC Tournament 2012: Predictions for Friday's Action
The 2012 SEC Tournament is on day two, and it's expected to heat up. We've already seen one upset, as Georgia beat Mississippi State, but the second round shouldn't feature a ton of big surprises.
Then again, it is March, so it's best to expect the unexpected in college basketball. Crazy things happen every year, and the SEC Tournament is no stranger to this.
Georgia had a magical run a few years back, but it's definitely going to be much harder to pull that off this year.

All of day two is sure to be thrilling, as four intense battles will take place beginning at 1 p.m ET.
That being said, here are my predictions for Friday's action.
LSU vs. Kentucky
The Wildcats are the best team in the country, having lost just one game on the year. They were perfect in conference play during the year, and they're definitely not going to flop in the tournament.
LSU looked very strong against Arkansas, but the Razorbacks are far from what Kentucky is. The Tigers will be giving it their all, hoping to pull off the upset of all upsets.
Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen, as Kentucky will cruise through this game with ease.
Prediction: Kentucky 75, LSU 59
Alabama vs. Florida
This one should be the best game of the day, as both teams are ready to rock. Florida may have won earlier in the year, but the Gators are on a downward spiral, which definitely helps the Crimson Tide.
Florida has more talent, but that just means the pressure is on Alabama's star players to deliver.
Look for JaMychal Green and Tony Mitchell to put the Crimson Tide on their backs and carry the team. However, their efforts alone will not be enough, as the Gators win a close one.
Prediction: Florida 68, Alabama 64
Ole Miss vs. Tennessee
The Rebels had it easy in their first-round match against Auburn, but battling Tennessee will be much harder.
They've only played each other once this year, and the Vols won that game by 13 points. This should be a similar affair, as Tennessee is the much better team.
Ole Miss will try for the upset, but it just won't happen.
Prediction: Tennessee 69, Ole Miss 58
Georgia vs. Vanderbilt
The Bulldogs certainly have what it takes to beat the Commodores and extend their magical run. It won't be easy, but it is definitely possible.
Georgia is playing with more confidence and more passion right now, which will help them against Vanderbilt.
Unfortunately, the Commodores are better all around, and that will be the difference-maker in tonight's matchup. They're a more complete team, so they'll get the victory.
Prediction: Vanderbilt 70, Georgia 64
