Twentieth Annual B.A.T. Dinner.
The Baseball Assistance Team (B.A.T.) was formed in 1986. This organization is a group of former Major League Baseball players, who help out members of the “baseball family.” Some of these retired players come on hard times and need help, so B.A.T. helps out by providing health care, financial grants, rehabilitative counseling, etc. These are some of the same players that you idolized as a kid, and they need help. The 20th Annual B.A.T. dinner will take place on Jan. 27, 2009. Some more information:

For tax purposes, the estimated value of the dinner is $172, the remainder of the ticket is a deductible charitable contribution as allowed by law. B.A.T. is a 501 (c) 3 organization and all or part may be deducted as a business expense.
