WWE Opinion: Santino Would Be a World Champion in a Just World

I see an article that looks to be drinking some of the ye-olde-Santino Haterade. Let's actually analyze this argument a bit.

The people opposed to Santino ever becoming a world champion cite that he is a comedy act. I agree that Santino, in his current gimmick, would make a poor choice for a World Champion. However, I wonder if some of these people realize that, as far as talented individuals go, Santino is probably one of the most talented workers in the WWE right now.

I did not know until recently that Santino is actually trained in Judo. I went and found a video on Youtube of a promo from his OVW days. My god! Santino looks to be a beast in the clip!

I hate how people who watch the WWE have formed opinions of wrestlers without ever realizing that they're hating the "playas" and not the game. I am sure that, like any other WWE wrestler, Santino nodded his head and said yes to any gimmick WWE Creative was offering him. And can you blame him? This is how he makes his living.

Really, if I was to complain about Santino, my complaint would not be that he should or should not be a World Champion because of his comedy act; it would be that the WWE is putting really stupid crap on TV and the fans eat it up so much that guys like Santino can never be fully appreciated.

Is it Santino's fault that instead of being packaged as a legitimate shoot-fighter, he is packaged as a goofy Italian who dons a sock to hit a thrust to someone's throat?
