"MLB 12 The Show" Player Ratings Have Yankees Stacked Beyond Comprehension
If winning were as easy as in a video game, the New York Yankees would go undefeated.
Whoever concocted the player ratings in MLB 12: The Show had to be a Yankees fan.ย Sure, on paper in real life they look stacked beyond belief, but in Sonyโs newest video game theyโre unbeatable.
According to Pasta Padre, as a team, New York is ranked as the best ball club overall as well as first in pitching, defense and fourth in hitting.ย
Iโm shocked that theyโre not ranked first in hitting as well.ย Yanks fans obviously arenโt complaining about the gift of virtual domination, but not everyone is pleased.
One gamer pondered via Twitter:
"Yankees are ranked #1 on MLB the show, I'm still trying to figure out why....

In an attempt to put just how stacked the Yankees are in perspective, hereโs a video clip showing each teamโs top nine players:
Alex Rodriguezโthe 14-time All-Star, 10-time Silver Slugger, two-time Gold Glove and three-time MVPโis nowhere to be found.ย
Yeah, I know why heโs not in the Yankeesโ top-nine.ย He had a down year due to injury, heโs not getting any younger, but the fact is that heโd still be one of the most talented players on every other team in the majors.ย
In pinstripes, though, heโs not even on the radar.
If youโre playing against a friend in MLB 12 The Show, you better either pick the Yankees or make up a rule on the spot that you arenโt allowed to pick the Yankees.
Because if you donโt, youโre done.
