Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
2K Sports hits a gapper to bring in the winning run, doing enough to win the day. Here are the improvements that will have you loving this game well into the playoffs:
Graphics
The first thing you will notice is far more weight being thrown into the graphics. The stadiums jump off the screen, which helps to fully immerse you in the game.
Peter Eykemans of IGN echoes this sentiment:
"Graphically, the MLB 2K12 experience utilizes higher contrasts, making sunny days brighter and really showcasing the grizzle of your favorite unshaven athlete.
"
The game is simply beautiful and although it's just a step above last year's iteration, it's an important one.
MLB Today Season
There is one thing that you will find to keep your attention all season long, and that's the MLB Today Season mode.
Here, you can play along with your favorite team, from opening day until the new playoff format comes into play.
The lineups and pitcher on the bump are provided so you can just pick up the controller and start dealing.
Now, a lackluster season in real life can be made up for, and a brilliant one can be re-lived. This is a mode that will suck a great deal of hours from my life, but in a great way.
Improved AI
Many of you will be trying to throw that elusive perfect game in this year's challenge. Those that just want more realistic gameplay have exactly that in MLB 2K12.
The batters will now learn as the game goes along, getting wise to the loopy curveball you love to throw. The AI will adapt, which makes for a far more immersive game, and that is a huge plus for gamers that will now spend far more hours trying to perfect their game.
