WWE News: FCW Star Dean Ambrose Reportedly Nearing Main Roster Call-Up

Drake OzJun 6, 2018

The WWE’s developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling, has arguably its most talented ever roster right now, one that’s loaded with former independent stars and second-generation wrestlers.

Arguably the best of the bunch is Dean Ambrose, who made a name for himself on the indy scene competing as “Jon Moxley” in promotions such as CZW and Dragon Gate USA.

Ambrose’s success both on the indies and in FCW has earned him a huge legion of fans, and those fans might want to get ready because it looks like Ambrose is headed for the WWE’s main roster in the near future.

Alberto Del Rio and developmental star Dean Ambrose were backstage at Monday’s RAW. Del Rio returned to the ring over the weekend and is ready to return to television whenever the creative team has something for him. Ambrose worked SmackDown’s live events over the weekend and is also waiting to get called to television.

"

Well, it’s about damn time.

Though FCW features a number of future superstars such as Seth Rollins (aka Tyler Black) and Richie Steamboat, Ambrose has established himself as the most well-rounded star in the WWE’s developmental territory.

He’s known for being one of the best mic workers in FCW, and all it takes is a look at that match with CM Punk to see that he can also really go in the ring.

Though Ambrose thrives as both a heel and a baby face, he will likely make it to the main roster as a heel because he’s better in that role. Either way, he should find his way to either Raw or SmackDown ASAP.

Not to take away from those wrestlers currently on the main roster, but Ambrose could debut on either show today and would almost instantly be better than a majority of his fellow superstars. Yeah, he’s that good.

Just check out that video above, take a glance at what Punk had to say about Ambrose, and you’ll see that he is indeed the future of not only the WWE, but pro wrestling as a whole.
