Is The WWE Hall Of Fame Beckoning For Stone Cold Steve Austin This Year?

I wrote an article a few months ago about this possibly happening but could not confirm it until now. As many of you know the day before Wrestlemania we see the Hall of Fame ceremony.

It is an honor for anyone inducted. And it has a cast of some of the best of all time. This year Stone Cold Steve Austin joins those elite members of the WWE Hall of Fame.

The WWE and Austin want to do a storyline similar to Ric Flair's of last year. Of course it will be a bit different. We have not seen Austin in a WWE match other than a referee in years.

He actually was still an active member of the WWE RAW roster. He would be just as Flair was, so the WWE recently removed him from there. So he is not considered an active wrestler and Flair continues to be the only one who went into the Hall of Fame as an active wreslter.

The storyline would have him be in a match at Wrestlemania 25, but it has not been released on who it will be yet. Just that there is a storyline.

Similar to last year, wrestlers will come out and show people week by week leading to Wrestlemania who will be in the WWE Hall of Fame this year. Stone Cold will be a part of it so whoever reveals him to be in the Hall this year will possibly be his opponent.

Since Vince McMahon will be back in a little over week we may see him tell us Austin is on this year. Or, Austin will interrupt him one week as he is talking and tell the fans that he is in the Hall of Fame.

And he is the kind of guy to do it, so it is anyone's guess. He has screwed over McMahon at Wrestlemania a few times. Most recently the year Vince got his head shaved. Austin was the referee in that match, and got "involved".

I could see Austin vs McMahon at Wrestlemania 25, and we could see Austin week after week on RAW too. So I'd expect to see Austin probably the RAW after No Way Out.

But that is not for certain, although it would be the perfect time period. All I know now is that there will be a storyline with Austin similar to Flair's last year and that he WILL be in the WWE Hall of Fame this year.
