Predictions

DePaul vs. UConn

The Huskies had their issues with consistency during the regular season, but this particular UConn team is nothing if not talented. They overwhelmed DePaul in their one and only regular season meeting and I'll be very surprised if they don't do so again.

UConn by 15.

Pitt vs. St. John's

This is appropriate. The only team Pitt managed to beat in its last seven games was St. John's—and it beat St. John's convincingly. I'll take the Panthers to win again and I'll be looking for Ashton Gibbs to come up big again.

Pitt by seven.

Providence vs. Seton Hall

The Friars showed during the regular season that they have the ability to shock the world on a good day, scoring big victories against Louisville and UConn. I don't like their chances against Seton Hall, though. The Pirates know they need to perform well in the Big East tourney to go dancing and Providence is a team they should beat.

Seton Hall by 11.

Villanova vs. Rutgers

Villanova just beat Rutgers at Rutgers, so that bodes well for the Wildcats heading into this matchup. However, I like the Scarlet Knights to get their revenge. Villanova wasn't missing from distance in the last meeting between these two teams, so Rutgers should win if things level out.

Rutgers by three.
