WWE News: Latest on the New Clash of the Champions DVD Set Produced by the WWE
Just as the upcoming WrestleMania has been one of the biggest events for the WWE, the Clash of the Champions event served the same role for both the NWA and WCW from the late 1980s until the final event in 1997.
After previous WWE Home Video productions on Monday Nitro and Starrcade in the past few years, the newest collection will take a look at the best matches from the 35 different installments of the Clash of the Champions.
A report by WrestlingNewsSource.com this afternoon gives the official details of the DVD and Blu-Ray sets, which will be filled with more than 20 matches from the historic event over the years.

As a huge fan of Sting, I think it’s awesome that there are multiple matches included in the set from the era when he was sporting the blonde hair and flamboyant makeup in his feuds with the Nature Boy Ric Flair in the early 1990s for the WCW Championship.
In addition to battles between Sting and Flair, the set also includes some of the legends of professional wrestling like Arn Anderson, Terry Funk, Dusty Rhodes, Randy Savage and even Steve Austin before he went “Stone Cold” in the WWE.
When the set comes out later this year, I will definitely be taking the time to order this anthology of the best matches from the Clash of the Champions to add to my DVD collection.
So Bleacher Reporters, will you be picking up this new set taking a look at the best matches from WCW’s Clash of the Champions event?
