WrestleMania 28: CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho Will Steal the Show
With WrestleMania 28 less than four weeks away, it has become obvious that CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho for the WWE Title will steal the show.
As John Cena and The Rock stirred controversy with their promo on Monday Night Raw, Y2J and Punk were cutting an equally impressive promo with far less fanfare. While everyone is getting pumped for Undertaker vs. Triple H in a Hell in a Cell match, we will be watching two of the best mat technicians in the same ring for the WWE title.
Fans can scoff at the fact that Punk and Jericho have been relegated to the third-to-last match at best, but no matter when it goes on, it will be the best match of the night.

What CM Punk Brings
When CM Punk brings his irreverent attitude to the ring at WrestleMania 28, he will be squaring off with one of the few men in the entire world that can go toe to toe with him on the mic as well as in the ring.
Punk has become the best talker in the WWE since getting his creative license to say what he wanted, and he will give the smooth-talking Jericho everything he can handle. As good as this feud will be on the mic, it will be even better in the ring.
As much as the WWE has gotten away from the technical aspects of mat wrestling, Punk has always added the same kind of skillful in-ring performances he’s done since his time in Ring of Honor.
Given the time to plan the story behind the match, the duo of Punk and Y2J will have the crowd eating out of their hands.
What Chris Jericho Brings
If you want to talk technical wrestling, one of the most underrated technicians in the history of the business was and is Chris Jericho. After going through Stu Hart’s dungeon, Jericho went on to hone his craft against the best in the world via the Indy’s.
Not only can Jericho match Punk in the ring move-for-move, he can match him on the microphone word-for-word. We can't forget the epic promos Y2J cut during his tenure in WWE when he was feuding with the likes of the Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
This will be Punk’s first WrestleMania as a major star and face of the company, but not for Jericho. Y2J has headlined two WrestleManias and plans to make the third time as a major billing better than the first two.
Why Their Feud Is Solid Gold
Whether they will admit it or the fans will accept it, Chris Jericho is CM Punk.
Just as Y2J said in his promo on Raw, they are one and the same. While Punk sharpened his teeth in Philadelphia-based Ring of Honor and other Indy federations across the globe, Jericho did the same with the Philadelphia-based ECW before heading to WCW.
Both men used their rebellious attitude and extraordinary wit to outsmart their opponents and win the fans over. As much as Punk is loved by the crowd, Jericho is just as over.
All of these similarities mean one thing—amazing verbal battles.
Just like the amazing promo we saw on the last Raw of February, this feud has everything the fans could want and more. I hope they cut a promo on each other once a week until WrestleMania. Get my money’s worth.
