WWE News: Stipulation for Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show at WrestleMania 28?

Drake OzJun 6, 2018

Cody Rhodes has spent the past few weeks embarrassing Big Show. As a result, he is going to have to defend his Intercontinental championship against “The World’s Largest Athlete” at WrestleMania 28.

Big Show has a long history of losing at the WWE’s biggest pay-per-view of the year. Rhodes is looking to continue that streak and his lengthy run as the Intercontinental Champion by embarrassing Show once again in Miami.

To do so, though, Rhodes may have to face Big Show in more than just an ordinary match.

From PWInsider.com (via WrestleNewz.com):

"

Expect a stipulation to be added to the Cody Rhodes vs Big Show match at WrestleMania 28 aside from it being a title match.

"

Usually, you can see gimmick matches or stipulations from a mile away, such as the Ambulance Match between Kane and John Cena.

However, in the case of Show vs. Rhodes, I’m honestly not sure where the WWE is going or exactly what the stipulation will be.

Given the way Rhodes has made a joke out of Big Show as of late, I could (unfortunately) see some lame stipulation where the loser of the match has to do something embarrassing.

I really hope not, though.

I’d actually have no problem with a straight-up wrestling match with Rhodes going over Show clean and continuing his Intercontinental title reign. However, if any sort of gimmick or stipulation must be added, I would rather it be something along the lines of a street fight or no disqualification match.

Show vs. Rhodes in a normal singles bout actually might be decent. That being said, given how limited Show is in the ring, I think the WWE would be best served with a bout that was more like a brawl than a standard wrestling match.

Please, WWE, just give me any type of stipulation that makes sense and not something stupid like a “Loser Has to Dress Up Like Barney” match.

If that happens, I will officially start watching TNA instead.
