WWE/ROH News: Ring of Honor Blocks 3 Stars from Signing with WWE
This may be the first time, well first that I have heard of, that ROH has stopped any of its talent from jumping ship and heading to the WWE.
According to twnpnews.com:
"WWE has interest in Ring of Honor tag team Jay and Mark Briscoe. The two have been blocked from signing with WWE by Ring of Honor, due to ROH enforcing their contracts. Ring of Honor officials have also blocked wrestler Adam Cole from signing with WWE

If this is indeed true, you can't blame ROH, as they are approaching their 10th Anniversary Show this weekend and the news of losing any talent would be detrimental to the company.
Personally, I think it's nice to see some of these smaller companies enforcing their contracts, as way too many times, we have seeen smaller companies lose talent to WWE or TNA.
However, it also makes it tougher on these wrestlers who have been longing to make it to WWE—especially considering they are not getting any younger. Now, I am not sure how long the Briscoes or Adam Cole are locked up for, but for ROH's sake, hopefully it's a few more years.
I should also add that even if the WWE were given permission to acquire these guys, who's to say they would do right by them? Let's face facts: the WWE's roster is jam-packed right now with several mid-carders who have been awaiting their spot.
For most, that time may never come—especially considering how WWE has been riding the past and bringing back former stars to take up some valuable TV time. Don't get me wrong, I don't fault WWE for doing this—especially if they feel their mid-carders are not ready yet. However, it would be nice to see some of these younger guys build their careers by being used in matches for the US and IC titles.
In the end, this was a bold move by ROH and I guess we will have to wait and see how it turns out.
