WWE News: The Rock Says He Will Slap John Cena's Face with Kung Pao Chicken

Michael NargiFeb 27, 2012

The Rock returned to WWE Raw on Monday night to a thunderous ovation from the Oregon crowd.

Although there was a lot of love in the arena, Rocky was going to have to defend himself before the night was over.

John Cena bashed him the previous week, claiming that he cared more about movies than he cared about the WWE.

What took place

The Rock stood in the ring, soaking in the applause. Before he spoke he showed the camera that he had goosebumps from the crowd's reaction.

The Rock successfully engaged the crowd in chants all night and had their attention with every word that he spoke.

Before defending himself, he brought the crowd to their feet, telling Cena he was going to slap his face with Kung Pao chicken.

He then addressed a difference between him and Cena.

When Cena spoke last week, he said that he fights for the other wrestlers who show up every week in the ring. The Rock named some wrestlers (Triple H, Macho Man, along with others) and said that they did not need others fighting for them "because we were men."

The Rock then pointed backstage and said, "While you fight for them, I fight for them. I fight for the people."

The Rock 's speech was for the fans, about the fans and he made clear that when he returns to the WWE it is for all of his supporters.

It was only a matter of time before Cena came out to the ring.

When Cena came out he was showered with a mixed reaction from the arena crowd.

Cena's main objective when he confronted The Rock was to distinguish between "The Rock" and Dwayne Johnson.

He said that he "does not like Dwayne Johnson," and went on to tell The Rock that he was going to "beat the hell out of you at WrestleMania."

Cena left the ring telling The Rock to "carry on," and "continue trending."

Which is just what The Rock did, with several phrases that were trending across Twitter.

The Rock was not sidelined from the objective of his speech, however. If anything, it made the rest of the speech even more electric. He wrapped up his appearance by proclaiming,

"

"The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, Dwayne Johnson, The Rock, the People's champ, the Great One, the most electrifying man in all of entertainment, it doesn't matter John, it doesn't matter. The only thing that matters, and you're back there listening, is that what I'm gonna do on the biggest stage of WrestleMania, the biggest match of all time, The Rock, all the nicknames you want to throw, team Bring It Worldwide, we're gonna kick your candy ass all over WrestleMania, If you smell what the Rock is cooking."

"

What it means

Aside from the obvious WrestleMania buildup, The Rock's appearance showed the "real" side of him. When he spoke about the fans and the WWE organization, he was speaking the truth.

He gave his thanks to the WWE for making him who he is and that he would not be where he is without the WWE.

That is what Cena does not understand. The Rock has propelled himself to a new, successful career. Cena tried his hand at the movies and was not as successful. Therefore, Cena has to be on Raw every week, unlike The Rock.

Perhaps it is jealousy on Cena's part, but either way, he will be able to fight for what he believes in at WrestleMania.

The Rock is not insulting the WWE by not appearing every week. In fact, he is doing the complete opposite.

When he comes back to the WWE, he is coming back to ignite the crowd and give back to the WWE for what they have given him.

No matter what you call him, Dwayne Johnson remains loyal to the WWE organization and their fans. Cena and The Rock's match at WrestleMania in Miami on April 1 can not come soon enough.
