WrestleMania 28: Who Should Represent Teddy Long and John Laurinaitis?

It's been speculated by multiple insider wrestling sources, such as ProWrestling.net, that Teddy Long and John Laurinaitis will assemble teams to compete at WrestleMania. The general manager leading the winning team, it has been speculated, would become the GM of both brands. Assuming that it will be a six-person tag team match, let's assemble a logical team of three for each GM.

Let's start with Laurinaitis' team. The most obvious pick for Johnny Ace's team is David Otunga. Not only is the Harvard graduate Laurinaitis' right-hand man, but he also owns two victories over Ezekiel Jackson from this past week.

A logical choice for a second member of Laurinaitis' team would be Alberto del Rio. At Elimination Chamber, Del Rio returned to show support of Laurinaitis. As a former two-time WWE champion, The Mexican Aristocrat would be a strong addition to either team. Being that he is a heel and a Raw wrestler, I would assume that he would fit best on Laurinaitis' team.

Because Christian also returned at Elimination Chamber to support Laurinaitis, it is quite possible that he could also he could be the third member of that team. Many people seem to believe that Christian is not a good fit for Team Laurinaitis simply because he is a member of the SmackDown roster. However, given his history with Teddy Long over the past year, I would say that Christian would have no problem betraying his brand's GM.

Teddy Long's team is a bit harder to piece together. Many turn to Ezekiel Jackson as the first pick for Long. Seeing as Jackson has lost two straight matches to Otunga, I would hesitate to add him to the team. However, I believe that he will compete on Long's behalf simply because he has been Long's go-to man.

A strong second choice would be Santino Marella. Santino has been on a huge roll recently. Most notably, he was the last person eliminated in the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber match. That alone is a huge accomplishment. Teddy Long would be wise to add Santino to his team. And heck, Santino has earned a spot on this year's WrestleMania card, in my opinion.

Picking a third member for Team Long is a little more tricky than it is for Team Laurinaitis. Personally, I would recruit Justin Gabriel. Over the past few months, Gabriel has been climbing the ranks of singles competition. He had a few matches with Cody Rhodes on SmackDown and even challenged for Jack Swagger's United States Championship at the Elimination Chamber PPV. Also, Gabriel could add an exciting dynamic to the match. I believe he and Christian would have some great chemistry.

So there you have it. A possible matchup for the Team Laurinaitis vs. Team Long at WrestleMania 28 could be David Otunga, Alberto del Rio and Christian vs. Ezekiel Jackson, Santino Marella and Justin Gabriel.
