Ricky Rubio Video: Watch Rubio Break Evan Turner's Guiness World Record

Jeff ChaseJun 2, 2018

Minnesota Timberwolves rookie guard Ricky Rubio has been lighting it up on the floor all season long, but now he is doing it from behind the board.

According to Spike Eskin of CBS Philadelphia, Evan Turner of the Philadelphia 76ers set the Guinness World Record for shots made from behind the backboard in a minute with 14 at this weekend's All-Star event.

While Turner was pleased with his accomplishment, only moments later did the rookie step up to the plate and put his name atop the record books.

Rubio sank 18 shots in a minute, surpassing Turner's brief record by a longshot.

It was quite an impressive feat, since Rubio didn't even seem to be challenged by the task. He simply sank one after another.

It looks like he may have found his true spot on the floor.

While this doesn't give either man bragging rights on the court, Rubio just continues to astonish us with everything he does.

Not many thought he would transition to the American game as well as he has, but the tricky Spaniard has caught up quick and is definitely making noise.

While Rubio is setting this record, he will be looking to take over the crowd at this weekend's rising star's rookie-sophomore game.

If he continues to play like he has, fans should be ready to see Rubio light up All-Star weekend.
