WWE Elimination Chamber 2012 Results: Dissecting Event's Impact on WrestleMania

The lineup for this Elimination Chamber leaves something to be desired, but then again, this event's main function is to set the stage for WrestleMania. 

So, it is important to judge this event and everything that happens for its potential impact on the one event we are all looking forward to. 

And when looking at it that way, it becomes pretty clear what the marquee outcome here is going to be. I say marquee because does anyone care about the Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show vs. The Great Khali vs. Santino Marella bout? 

I don't. Whatever storyline they develop here is going to be desperate attempt to get some kind of compelling drama. So let's just move on to the event that is worth caring about.

CM Punk has been wiping the mat with these guys, and it is about time that something is set up for him to be in a position to exact a little revenge. 

And what better stage to have a fired-up Punk get big-time revenge than at WrestleMania? 

For that reason, Punk is not going to exit the elimination chamber with his championship. 

So the question is: Who is going to wrestle the championship away from him? 

Chris Jericho is an elimination warrior, and he will flex that muscle here. Jericho is the logical choice to upstage Punk for more reasons than that. He is the only one of this crop that has a realistic chance of setting up a rivalry with CM Punk.
