Elimination Chamber 2012: A Victory by CM Punk Hurts the Wrestlemania 28 Card
While I am not thrilled about the upcoming PPV tomorrow, and have voiced my opinion of how this could be one of the worst PPV events in terms of changes and matches, I am also worried that the creative team for Raw will again award the WWE Title to CM Punk.
There are other worthy talents within the brand to hold the title heading into WrestleMania 28.
Sometimes, status quo works in wrestling. Keeping the title on the same person becomes the right thing to do, but in this case, like the WWE's COO Triple H would say, "What is right is not always best for business."

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Punk is a lightning rod of excitement, charisma and fan approval. But there are five other contenders in this match (four of which I think have a real chance of winning this match) who could carry this belt for the next month, setting up new rivalries and feuds that could bolster the WrestleMania 28 card. And it is also possible that none of them include CM Punk as an opponent.
It's a great dilemma to have moving toward your biggest event of the year. NASCAR wants 10-15 drivers who can all compete to win the Daytona 500. The WWE should want a legit five to seven wrestlers from each brand who can compete each night for the top titles in each brand.
Remember too, that this is a company who before the new year was worried that Punk could not bring in ratings and almost took the title from him.
You don't blame one person for those issues. Those are marketing problems. These men (and women) are asked to get in the ring, not walk the street to sell the brand or call people and beg them to buy the card the WWE has put together.
Punk having the belt is a good thing for the business and we all love it. But wrestlers like Dolph Ziggler, Chris Jericho, The Miz and Kofi Kingston (sorry, R-Truth) can win Sunday night and carry the belt and re-establish feuds leading into WrestleMania 28 that would also help with the Sheamus decision for the evening (if Daniel Bryan wins the Elimination Chamber for Smackdown, this is a no-brainer).
If the WWE is to move forward and really sell the hell out of WrestleMania, then change things up a bit.
Re-draft wrestlers after April and above everything else, reconsider whether the current state of the title picture is one we all want to continue to look at.
