WWE Elimination Chamber 2012: Chris Jericho's Big Mouth Will Cost Him WWE Title

Jeff ChaseFeb 19, 2012

Heading into this weekend's WWE Elimination Chamber event, long-time star Chris Jericho could be running into some serious trouble with not just his opponents, but the entire crowd as well.

Jericho has gone back and forth many times over his career being the face or heel, but heading into the Chamber, he has certainly taken on the role of the heel.

On the February 6th telecast of Raw, Jericho made sure to make enemies with everyone by referring to essentially anybody, wrestlers and fans alike, that isn't himself a "Chris Jericho Wannabe."

In a sport where many wrestlers take pride in who they are, Jericho is certainly taking a stab at their egos by referring to them as just wanting to be like him.

With wrestlers like Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston and the champion in CM Punk, Jericho has opened up a potential situation that could spell trouble for the former champion.

He has been stirring the pot with Punk for quite sometime now, including his interference of his match against Daniel Bryan, where Jericho claims he invaded Raw.

His behavior will certainly cost him in this match, as one can assume that the other five fighters are going to team up and take down Jericho to get him out of the situation as early as possible.

While Jericho likely has title aspirations since returning to the ring in early January of this year, he may have ran him self into trouble in the early goings of his return to the WWE.

Will he be able to surprise everyone and take down Punk, who he has been calling out for weeks now? It is looking more unlikely as things have continued to build around the situation.

Jericho definitely is walking in with the most experience, but he could be walking out with the least pride.
