WWE Elimination Chamber 2012: Christian Must Take Santino's Spot
When Santino Marella won a battle royal on SmackDown to take Randy Orton's spot at the Elimination Chamber, there was a lot of confusion. The good news is, we shouldn't expect to see him actually end up in the match.
In fact, there is a perfectly acceptable candidate out there who could get in the sixth spot: Christian.
We haven't seen Christian since he injured his ankle in November, but by all accounts he is ready to make his much-anticipated comeback.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
There was a tease on SmackDown of having Mark Henry get into the match. His groin injury isn't healed up enough for him to start working, which is why he did not end up getting the spot.
Christian, meanwhile, not only deserves a spot in a match like this a lot more than Santino, but he will actually improve it.
The current lineup for the SmackDown Chamber match includes Santino, Daniel Bryan, Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, Big Show and Great Khali.
Three of those six wrestlers are perfectly capable of putting on a good match. Big Show, Khali and Santino are not going to add anything to this match. Why Khali was put in is a mystery even greater than Santino.
While no one would actually expect Christian to win the match, as long as he can make it a more enjoyable one, why not put him in the spot?
He has been Vince McMahon's personal whipping boy for the last year, but he never whined or pouted. He went out and did his job, like a good professional should.
The Elimination Chamber title matches are lacking in star power. While Christian may not be a big star, he is infinitely better than Santino. He can make Bryan, Rhodes, Barrett, Khali and Show look a lot better.
The fans would get behind seeing Christian, even if he comes back as a heel. He can weasel his way into the sixth spot by beating Santino up. It doesn't matter how Christian gets in the match, just that he does.
It is time to bring him back—this is the perfect opportunity to do it. Hopefully, McMahon has a real plan to use him on this show.
