WrestleMania 28: 5 Reasons Why Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels Should Happen

David LevinJun 5, 2018

The Game and Mr. WrestleMania got into the ring again Monday night to do what they do best—stir the pot and create a little controversy.

But the controversy centered more around the two icons and their friendship than anything else. Oh, and whether or not Triple H will face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 28.

We all know this will happen (although stranger things have happened in the past), but a little poking and prodding never hurt anyone. And since Kevin Nash is no longer on the WWE roster, there needs to be someone who can push Triple H's buttons besides CM Punk or John Laurinaitis.

While Triple H is trying to be the "corporate guy" and Michaels is trying to get his best friend to show his true colors, the tension between the two of them trying to corral The Undertaker and his aura was thicker than either one of them. And it looks like it could be heavier leading up to the PPV.

From all this, knowing that these friends tear down the roof when they clash, could friends become foes?

Here are reasons why seeing Triple H and Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 28 could be the best match of the night—if it were to happen.

Friends Becoming Foes Is Always a Great Storyline

1 of 5

Whether it was Edge/Christian, Eddie Gilbert/Tommy Rich or Ric Flair/Everyone, the friendships through the years that fell apart have become some of the best storylines.

No one knows each other better than these two, as best friends out of the ring and in the ring.

And when they do challenge each other, the battles are tremendous.

We Need Something Different

Aren't we getting a little tired of the same matches? Cena/Kane, Sheamus/Jack Swagger and Daniel Bryan/Big Show have all been done before.

This is an old rivalry that adds some freshness to the brands.

It also means more pay-per-view buys, which would help since the Royal Rumble did not do so well.

And we won't have to blame The Miz for the poor performance.

Both Are Still Able to Bring It!

When you mention the idea of the two of these wrestlers in the ring together, fans shudder.

And they still know how to tell a story in the ring. This kind of saga is a lot like a Terry Funk/Ric Flair, where the two of them will bring everything they have to the ring and tell the story.

And they are equally matched, which makes the match more exciting.

This Allows Undertaker to Face Kane

4 of 5

Kane does not have a dance partner for WrestleMania 28. The Undertaker would be left out of the dance with Triple H.

Everyone who is reading this can do the math.

Kane/Taker is epic and the ultimate.

Anytime you can get these two in the ring, creative needs to make it happen.

We Have Heard About Rock/Cena for Too Long

5 of 5

Almost a year, and we are pretty damn tired of it, especially of the bickering back and forth.

The WWE missed the boat trying to promote this match for the last year. While the idea is great in theory, we would have liked to have seen other angles.

The match between Triple H and Shawn Michaels is certainly a different angle.

And maybe a better one.
