Little Jimmy for President: Why R-Truth Is the Best Entertainment the WWE Has
Comedy will always have a place in the WWE.
Whether it's Santino butchering the English language to near perfection or Hornswaggle (before he could talk) running around like a little kid, getting himself into all kinds of different hijinks, lighthearted moments like these help bring some fans back to reality during what is supposed to be tense and intricate programming.
Last night on Raw, we bore witness to the first ever debate inside the squared circle, during which all six competitors from the brand's WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match took part. In what was thought to be a way for every participant to have one last shot at cutting a promo on his opponents, we were allowed to watch as certain events unfolded.

Of course, we had CM Punk and Chris Jericho continue their genuine hatred towards each other, Dolph Ziggler generated more heat against him, thanks in no small part to Vickie Guererro. The Miz went off on yet another long, somewhat repetitive, promo, and Kofi Kingston inserted himself into the main event scene for the foreseeable future by stating he's been overlooked far too long and that it's time he got his chance to shine.
Not only did Kofi get all the fans behind him, he even nailed Jericho with a Trouble in Paradise, setting up what was quite possibly the best match of the night.
Above all else, one man stood alone as the brightest spot in the entire debate.
That man was R-Truth, who took the debate, and his time to speak, and ran with it. During his speech, there was talk of being elected for president, trading Ziggler and Vickie to SmackDown for Hornswaggle and a box of spider, his Gramama and her special spider stew. His speech was so riveting, it brought tears to this fan's eyes.
Not tears of emotions; rather, tears of laughter. Once again, I had fallen victim to one of Truth's famous, hilarious promos.
It's not just that Truth is funny, because anybody can try to be funny and fail; it's the way in which he goes about bringing out the laughter. Truth goes so far beyond the realm of reality and turns it into the highlight of the evening.
A crazy R-Truth is one thing, but a crazy, paranoid, Little Jimmy loving R-Truth is so much more than I had ever wished for in my wildest fantasies. Now that Truth is no longer just a delusional psychotic, he has the ability to make every promo he cuts as funny as he wants to. Not that he's a full-fledge face now, but being a tweener allows for a wider range of comedy when he speaks, and that is just amazing to think about.
R-Truth may be a little bit out there, but with that character, he has brought with him some of the best highlights the WWE has to offer since his character change.
Who can forget about the Confederate soldier in Virginia? What about the first time he brought up spiders when talking about the Money in the Bank match? And let's not disregard the awesome moment he had with Triple H when he first started talking to make-believe people.
Truth has one of the greatest and most entertaining characters in WWE history. With that being said, it's only a matter of time until Truth and Little Jimmy officially hit up the campaign trail and run for president.
They have my vote. How could they not? They make more sense than any of the other presidential candidates right now.
