Bradying, Tebowing and the Dumbest Fads in Sports Last Season
The NFL season came to a close on Sunday night and with it goes some of the most ridiculous fads in league history. It seemed like everything a star player did during a game would turn into a viral-video sensation by Tuesday, no matter how dumb it was.
Here are the four most ludicrous fads of the season.
Tebowing

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The granddaddy of them all, Tebowing is still going strong even though the Denver Broncos were eliminated from the playoffs weeks ago. Not only has it caught on with everyday Americans, but with celebrities like Katy Perry and fellow athletes, such as Lindsey Vonn, as well.
Tebow himself takes the praying pregame ritual very seriously, and everybody else has turned it into a big joke. It's no longer original and ran its course about two months ago. Hopefully the offseason puts an end to the excessive Tebowing so we can get back to focusing on how bad of a quarterback he is.
Bradying
This one just emerged after the Patriots lost the Super Bowl, based on a picture of Tom Brady sitting with his hands crossed. Hopefully it doesn't last long because we've reached the point where people are really trying too hard to come up with stuff.
I mean, what's really the purpose of taking a picture of yourself sitting like a losing quarterback?Since none of the other people doing it are quarterbacks, doesn't that just make them losers? In other words, let this fad die before it picks up any steam.
Coughlining
You might not have heard about Coughlining since only one guy was able to perfect the Giants head coach's mannerisms enough to shoot a good video of himself doing it. That said, it still wasn't even that funny to begin with and shouldn't catch on, even though he just won another Super Bowl.
It's especially crazy because it took so much time to come up with the idea for so little payoff. So you can pretend to be the Giants head coach and almost get hit by a car on a busy street, good job. Now let's work on something that actually has some staying power.
Gronking
Wasn't Gronking originally called spiking the football? There's no difference between what Rob Gronkowski does now and what players have been doing for decades, which makes it amazing that he has received so much attention for it.
I understand the NFL has cut down on touchdown celebrations in recent seasons so fans have to enjoy whatever is not punishable by the strict rules, but all the guy is doing is throwing the ball down hard. There has to be more original ideas to emulate than that.
I hope.
