WWE Elimination Chamber 2012: 10 Matches We Need to Get at Elimination Chamber

John NizinskiJun 2, 2018

The Elimination Chamber is the next stop on the Road to WrestleMania. The Elimination Chamber event is one of the most exciting pay-per-views of the year and helps give momentum toward WrestleMania.

For many superstars they will be given a final shot to earn a spot on the grandest stage of them all, and for others it sets the table for future matches and feuds.

Here is a look at the matches that need to happen at the Elimination Chamber in order to help make WrestleMania 28 unforgettable.

Raw Elimination Chamber

1 of 10

One of the two set matches at the Elimination Chamber event are the actual Elimination Chamber matches.

The match will be for the WWE Championship. The six competitors include current WWE Champion CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler, the Miz, R-Truth, Chris Jericho and Kofi Kingston.

Dolph Ziggler is in this match because he has climbed into the main event and is seen as a future WWE Champion. However, I don't think he has a real chance to win this match.

Miz and R-Truth will continue their feud inside the Chamber, but neither will win the match.

Kofi Kingston also will not win this match, however I am thrilled to see that he is being included in this match. I think Kingston needs a big push soon, and I think he would make an exciting U.S Champion.

The only person not named CM Punk who I can see winning this event is Chris Jericho. I think that Jericho and Punk will meet at WrestleMania for the WWE Championship. Punk and Jericho could be the last two left in the Chamber match, and either Punk could win and Jericho demands a match at WrestleMania, or Jericho wins and Punk uses his rematch clause at WrestleMania.

SmackDown Elimination Chamber

2 of 10

The other match that is set for the Elimination Chamber event is the SmackDown Elimination Chamber match.

This match will be for the World Heavyweight Championship. The participants are current champ Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Big Show, the Great Khali, Wade Barrett and IC Champ Cody Rhodes.

The Great Khali is the most shocking person involved in this match and basically has zero chance at winning this match.

Big Show has been in the title scene for a while now, however rumors are going around saying he will face Shaquille O'Neal at WrestleMania.

Wade Barrett and Randy Orton have a feud that will continue in this match, however neither will likely win.

Cody Rhodes was very impressive in the Royal Rumble but also will most likely not win this match.

That leaves only Daniel Bryan as the realistic and fitting winner of this match.

Kane vs. John Cena

3 of 10

The feud between Kane and John Cena is ongoing and will most likely end at the Elimination Chamber. There are definitely a few different scenarios that can go down.

Many want and think John Cena will turn heel soon. One way this match could go down is that John Cena gets the upper hand on Kane in their ambulance match and as he is about to finally end him, Zack Ryder comes out to help Cena and get some revenge on Kane.

This will cause John Cena to get frustrated because he wants to be the one to end Kane alone and, he turns to Ryder who is attacking Kane, and gives him an Attitude Adjustment out of frustration.

A beaten down Kane with no fight left in him, laughs at Cena for embracing the hate. Cena throws Kane into the ambulance and Cena walks to the backstage.

Beth Phoenix vs. Natalya

4 of 10

Beth Phoenix and Natalya are arguably the two most talented Divas in the WWE today.

On SmackDown we saw a glimpse of the start to a possible feud between Phoenix and Natalya. Phoneix left Natalya in the ring after the match to get attacked by Aksana and Tamina.

Natalya and Phoenix would be an interesting match that showcases the skills of two very talented Diva's.

Many believe that Phoenix will take on Kharma at WrestleMania 28. Kharma could come out at the end of this match and attack both Phoenix and Natalya, then take the Diva's Championship belt backstage with her.

Sheamus vs. David Otunga and Jinder Mahal

5 of 10

The surprising 2012 Royal Rumble winner, Sheamus, is absent from the SmackDown Elimination Chamber match. He will most likely face the World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania, who will also most likely be Daniel Bryan.

Since he will not be involved in the Elimination Chamber match, he needs to continue to get momentum and prove that he is dominant leading up to WrestleMania.

One way to do that is have him compete in, and win, a handicap match at the Elimination Chamber. David Otunga and Jinder Mahal are perfect opponents.

Brodus Clay vs. a Real Competitor

6 of 10

Brodus Clay is on the fence of becoming boring and irrelevant. He made a huge impact when he surprised the WWE Universe with his "Funkasaurus" gimmick. He has been plowing through the bottom level superstars in a rather repetitive and routine fashion.

If Clay wants to be taken more seriously as a competitor he needs to face more serious competition and showcase a more variety of moves. Clay has to show that he can take some damage and bounce back.

Some competitors could include Dolph Ziggler, Mark Henry or even Jack Swagger, if he is not already in a match with Zack Ryder.

Epico and Primo vs. the Uso's

7 of 10

Another division that has struggled is the Tag Team division. The team of Air Boom helped revive it a little, and the current tag teams are exciting and capable of putting on quality matches.

In order to help give the division some more credibility there should be a long tag team match at the Elimination Chamber.

The current champs, Epico and Primo, should face the Uso's. This match could deliver some exciting moments that will get some buzz around the Tag Team division again.

Wade Barrett vs. Randy Orton

8 of 10

I know that both guys are already in the SmackDown Elimination Chamber match, but their feud has become a big storyline and should require a match at the Elimination Chamber event.

These two will most likely be in a match at WrestleMania, so I think they should have a match that ends in a double count out.

This will lead to their feud continuing in the actual Elimination Chamber and then ending at WrestleMania.

Jack Swagger vs. Zack Ryder

9 of 10

This match depends on the health and availability of Zack Ryder.

Is it just me or did Jack Swagger kill the credibility of the United States Championship? After Dolph Ziggler and Zack Ryder helped bring the belt back into relevance, it was abruptly put on Swagger.

A rematch between Ryder and Swagger should happen soon so that Ryder can get the United States belt back.

Bella Twins vs. Eve and Kelly Kelly

10 of 10

I don't expect or really want two Diva's matches but the only reason I have this match on the card is if the WWE is trying to push the Diva's division. I know it is not appealing or likely but it is more of a hypothetical situation. If the WWE wants to push the Diva's.

I was watching SmackDown with my father last week and when the match between Beth Phoenix and Natalya versus Aksana and Tamina ended in basically 10 seconds, he turned to me and said, "that's it?"

One thing that is clear is the Diva's division is struggling. The WWE fails to give it any air time, which takes away the impressiveness of the Diva's Champion Beth Phoenix.

One way to help rebuild the division could be to have multiple Diva's matches at the Elimination Chamber. With the champion Phoenix in a match with Natalya, that could leave a match between the Bella Twins versus Kelly Kelly and Eve.

This match would get little time air time, but could feature something impressive out of Kelly Kelly and Eve. Both of these Diva's have done some impressive stunts lately, as we saw Kelly Kelly jump from the top ropes to the outside at the Royal Rumble.

Also, Eve recently got a Glam Slam from Phoenix off the top ropes.
