WWE Raw: Complete Preview, Rumors, News and More for Feb. 6

Jun 3, 2018

After a fantastic Raw, the WWE has plenty of work to do to build all the storylines they are crafting for the road to WrestleMania.

With Jericho turning heel on CM Punk and Undertaker getting turned down by Triple H, this week’s edition is giving hope that the product will start turning around.

Undertakers Back!

With the return of the deadman, all of the focus that was on John Cena vs. Kane and on CM Punk vs. Jericho is now squarely on the Undertaker.

As much as the fans have been complaining about another Triple H vs. Undertaker match at WrestleMania, at least this time WWE has set themselves up to carry out a successful storyline instead of the patchwork mess the match was last WrestleMania.

The entrance music and the ring walk are epic and anytime they happen, chills run up my spine. Any time you get the Undertaker on Raw or any other wrestling program, it’s instantly gold.

P.S. It’s not a wig.

Chris Jericho and CM Punk Begin the Shoot Promos

For those fans that love the talking aspect of the game and remember a day in wrestling when cutting promos was the best form of entertainment, CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho will see epic verbal throw downs.

While Jericho was the best in the world in the ring and on the mic, the new WWE has Punk as their best in the world. With both men feeling entitled, this will be a war of words and some of the best wrestling you’ll ever see.

We can’t forget that Jericho comes from the Hart dungeon and can match Punk’s athleticism like few others in the WWE. This will be the best feud of 2012.

Sting Was Almost in the WWE?

As much as it has never seemed possible with Sting’s strong allegiance to WCW and TNA, the talk that WWE was making a serious effort at getting him into the ring in their company appears to have been legit.

"

“Yes and no. Who wouldn't want to say that they've done at least one WrestleMania? I'm not going to lie to you, I wish I had done one of those. I've had great conversations with him [Vince McMahon] over the years and been real close on three or four different occasions. There was always a need met or desire of mine met with WCW or with TNA, so I stayed. Last year... we [him and WWE] were very, very close.”

"

The WWE needs to make this happen. Forget Brock Lesnar and all the other talk there has been; Undertaker’s last match needs to be against Sting at WrestleMania. If you let them both retire after the match, it would be a storybook ending to two amazing careers.

Is Johnny Ace Fired?

With all of the Undertaker talk last week, many fans lost sight of John Laurinaitis and the role he may play in the arrival of the Undertaker.

There have been rumors that it was Laurinaitis that had Undertaker return to save his job, but I think that he will just be along for the ride while this feud gets up and running.

With Triple H being pursued by the dead man, it will be easy to have Johnny Ace hold control of Raw while Triple H figures out if he should fight again. I would expect the same amount of Johnny Ace as we’ve become accustomed to.
