Super Bowl 2012: Kelly Clarkson's National Anthem Will Put Steven Tyler to Shame

Are your ears still ringing from Steven Tyler's screeching version of the National Anthem in the AFC Title Game? If so, relief is on the way. Kelly Clarkson is set to belt out the nation's song at the Super Bowl today.

It's amazing how the NFL has used acts with American Idol ties to deliver the anthem in consecutive postseason games.

Tyler is a current judge, and Clarkson is the show's first ever winner, so it's hard not to notice the show's humongous influence over pop culture.

The good thing is, Clarkson's voice is much better suited to belt out a quality version of the anthem.

Well this time, Clarkson's amazing, less-tortured lungs will be on display, and I'm confident she'll deliver a better performance than Tyler.

I know that's a lot of pressure for Kells, but I'm counting on her.

Don't let me down girl.

My reputation is counting on it. OK, so not that much is on the line, but take it seriously anyway.

I am not biased. If she forgets the words, falls on the way to the microphone or yells "Go Packers" after she's done, I'll be all over her too.
