When Will the Next Live WWE Smackdown Special Take Place on SyFy?

With the WWE gearing up with a strong Road to WrestleMania this year, Raw SuperShow will not be the only WWE program to air live on television as the blue brand, Smackdown, will once again air live later this month.

WWE Smackdown will air live on Tuesday, February 21, according to the Syfy schedule.

With February 21^st being just two days after the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view this month, I would expect something big happening on this special episode of Smackdown, as we would be just a little more than a month from WrestleMania.

While I love seeing the WWE having another live Smackdown special this month, I think the company could do so much more with the show if they went away from the current way they televised the “B” show during a week.

For Smackdown, I think it would be much more beneficial for the WWE if they bring back the show as a weekly live show just like Raw instead of being taped on a Tuesday before being shown on Friday night.

If Smackdown would ever return to television as a live show, it would definitely have to move from Tuesday night to its original night of Thursday to have a better chance to have more people to watch than Friday.

The last suggestion that I would make is that Smackdown would need a change of scenery from their current home of SyFy, which never really made any sense to me when they made the move to the channel in 2010.

Whether or not Smackdown returns as a full-time live program, I think the recent strong performance of the show is nothing but good for the WWE, as their biggest show of the year is just 56 days away in April.

So Bleachers, would you like to see SmackDown air live in once in a while specials or return as a live show instead of taped delay on Friday nights?
