Super Bowl Commercials 2012: Volkswagen Will Steal Show on Sunday
It seems like Super Bowl commercials are getting worse year after year. There are about two that I really enjoy but the most are ignorantly dumb.
The 2012 Super Bowl will see the same scene but there is one commercial that will steal the show. “The Dog Strikes Back” will be the best and most-liked commercial on Super Bowl Sunday.
Volkswagen uses a large dog that fails to get out of the “doggy door” in an attempt to chase their vehicle that is being promoted. But, instead of living with the issues, the dog exercises to lose the weight.

After chasing a ball up-and-down stairs, using a treadmill, pulling a rug with a weight on it back-and-forth, using an exercise ball, cutting back on eating scraps that a baby drops, running outside in the snow and swimming, the dog can finally get out of the door in order to chase and even outrun the vehicle.
Reasons Why This Rocks
Implementing a dog into a commercial will almost always be successful. The commercial has to be awful for it not to succeed with a dog in it. People are animal and especially dog lovers; anything with a dog will draw rave reviews. Look at the Puppy Bowl, for example.
Obviously this is just a commercial, but I enjoy visuals that I can relate to. Even using a dog makes me relate this to my life and the several challenges I am faced with; other people will feel the same. When something feels wrong in your life make a change!
Most importantly, this commercial has a lesson: If you want something bad enough, you must put the time and effort into it. You don’t just wake up the next day and have things change (unless you win the lottery), you must decide to take your challenge head-on.
