Stefon Diggs: Updating the Latest on the Uncommitted Recruit
National Signing Day was a couple of days ago, but that doesn't mean every top prospect in the country has made their final decision. There are still a handful of heavily recruited players that are still trying to decide on which team they would like to play for.
Diggs is one of the top athletes in this year's recruiting class. His 6'0", 185-pound frame isn't exactly the biggest in the world, but the kid can flat out fly. He's a playmaker on the football field and a threat to take it the distance every time the ball is in his hands. He's a receiver who can stretch the field for you and even provide a spark on special teams as well.
He's probably the most popular player left on the uncommitted board, and teams and fans can't wait to see where the speedster wide receiver ends up. Here are the latest updates that involve the 5-star wide-out.
Visit Maryland This Weekend
1 of 3Before making his decision official, Diggs will make sure to make Maryland his last stop.
The Terrapins are the home school and are about a half-hour car ride away from his home in Olney, MD. Sure, Maryland didn't exactly have a great season last year, but they do have their advantages. Diggs would be a big fish in a little pond if he ended up joining Maryland and could become the starter right away.
We saw Dorial Green-Beckham stay in his hometown of Missouri, could Diggs actually do the same?
Decision Likely Will Come Feb 10
2 of 3We've been waiting for a while to see where the speedy wide receiver will end up and we finally have a date set in place. ESPN is reporting that we will likely get a decision on Feb. 10th, which happens to be only a week away. The anticipation is killing us!
Diggs is considering schools such as Ohio State, Auburn, Florida, Maryland and Cal.
Ohio State the Front-Runner?
3 of 3We've seen what Urban Meyer can do when it comes to recruiting, but can he possibly land another 5-star player?
According to reports, NBC sports anchor Dan Hellie says that the Buckeyes are in fact the leaders in this race for Diggs. This would be a another huge pickup and would allow the wide receiver to maximize his potential in the spread offense.
Things will get very interesting if Meyer is able to pull another rabbit out of the hat.
