WWE SmackDown Spoilers: Watch the Fantastic Main Event from Tonight's Episode

Chris HumphreyFeb 3, 2012

With the rivalry already highlighted by a tables match and a falls count anywhere match, Randy Orton and Wade Barrett battled once again in the main event of tonight's episode of SmackDown in an awesome no disqualification match.

In the early goings, Orton was in complete control against his nemesis Barrett. The Viper twice slung him into the ringside barrier and smacked his head off the ringsteps on numerous occasions on the outside.

After Orton tossed Barrett back into the ring, he went under the apron and brandished a table to inflict more damage on his opponent.

Introducing the table in the no disqualification match turned out to bite Orton in the back. Barrett blocked the Viper’s attempted superplex from the top rope and sent him crashing through the table in the middle of the ring.

With Barrett now in firm control of the match, he began to work on Orton's back in an attempt to reinjure his rival after he threw him down a flight of steps on the final episode of SmackDown in 2011.

However, Orton regains control of the match by utilizing a steel chair in the ring. The Viper continued to smack Barrett across the back with the chair all around the ring.

If one RKO wasn’t enough to put away Barrett, Orton hit the leader of the Barrett Barrage with a second RKO on the same steel chair for the victory.

While I would like to see the Orton/Barrett rivalry continue all the way to WrestleMania, I’d like to see Orton take the world heavyweight title off Daniel Bryan, too. His continually celebratory gimmick has become very old in the past few weeks.

So, Bleachers, do you believe that Randy Orton will turn his attention away from Wade Barrett after this match and focus more on regaining the world heavyweight title from Bryan?
