WWE Elimination Chamber 2012: Ranking Each Chamber Match in the PPV's History
Following the creation of the match by former Raw general manager Eric Bischoff in 2002, the Elimination Chamber has supplanted the Hell in a Cell match as the most dangerous match in the WWE, as the first 13 contests have been an awesome spectacle to watch over the years.
With the two championship Chamber matches set for the upcoming pay-per-view on Feb. 19, the following slideshow will rank the best Elimination Chamber matches in the two-year history of the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
No. 4: Raw Elimination Chamber 2011
1 of 4Even though most probably gagged at the result of the Raw Elimination Chamber match last year, John Cena won the right to face the Miz at WrestleMania for the WWE Championship, but Cena came up short in Atlanta after getting hit with a Rock Bottom to give the win to the WWE Champion.
No. 3: Raw Elimination Chamber 2010
2 of 4Even though he won the WWE Championship at the 2010 edition of Elimination Chamber, John Cena lost his newly-won title right after the grueling Chamber match, as Vince McMahon had Cena defend the title against Batista that would lead up to their match at WrestleMania 25 later in 2010.
No. 2: SmackDown Elimination Chamber 2011
3 of 4In what would be the second-to-last time Edge would defend his World Heavyweight Championship, the Rated R Superstar survived his fourth trip into the Elimination Chamber, as he hit Rey Mysterio with a mid-air spear to retain his title and go on to WrestleMania for the final match of his career.
No. 1: SmackDown Elimination Chamber 2010
4 of 4While Shawn Michaels aided Chris Jericho in winning the World Heavyweight Championship in 2010, the action between all of the superstars in the SmackDown Elimination Chamber would far surpass that of the Raw match earlier in the night, as the exchange between CM Punk and Rey Mysterio stole the show during the middle part of the match.
