2012 NFL Free Agents: Which Teams Will Overpay for Big Name Players?
There was a time when all that would be necessary to write in this article would be one name, in all caps.
DANIEL SNYDER!
Now, that doesn't mean Washington won't make an appearance on this list (they will). However, they won't be the only one overpaying on the free agent market this offseason.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Miami Dolphins
This one is pretty simple—whatever team signs Green Bay backup quarterback Matt Flynn is likely going to be overpaying to get him, given that's he's really only seen significant playing time in three games and he's the only quarterback on the market.
For now, at least.
Peyton Manning could be out there as well, but he's as much a risk injury-wise as the unproven Flynn.
One way or another, the Dolphins are going to be in the market for a quarterback. Flynn makes sense, especially after they named ex-Green Bay offensive coordinator Joe Philbin as their head coach.
The Dolphins aren't in a great position to trade up to draft Robert Griffin III. However, with a team they feel is a few tweaks away from heading back to the playoffs, bringing in a quarterback on the free agent market makes the most sense.
Washington Redskins
The Redskins desperately need a top-flight receiver, and this is the year they will likely be able to sign one. Players such as Vincent Jackson, Marques Colston, Dwayne Bowe and DeSean Jackson could all potentially hit the market.
Look for Washington to go after one of them in a big way. My guess?
Vincent Jackson will be a Redskin next year. However, we'll have to wait and see.
Minnesota Vikings
Much like the Redskins, the Vikings could really use another receiver to pair with the injury-prone Percy Harvin. The opportunities to win with Adrian Peterson—depending on when he even returns next year—and an aging core is starting to fade.
Giving Christian Ponder another weapon in the passing game won't hurt, either, and will allow the team to draft a much-needed left tackle in USC's Matt Kalil. While they might overpay, they will need to if they want to compete in the competitive NFC North.
