Manchester City Transfer Rumours: Carlos Tevez Must Be Sold on Deadline Day

Nicholas GossJan 31, 2012

Carlos Tevez and Manchester City should part ways on transfer deadline day because of the two sides' inability to see eye-to-eye this season. With Serie A club AC Milan having interest in the troubled forward for months now, the league leaders must complete this deal.

The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday that the Italian giants will make a final attempt to pry Tevez from Manchester City.

Milan has been hurt by Alexander Pato's recent injury, which could sideline him for about a month, and with the young Brazilian regularly struggling with staying healthy, the club needs another world-class forward to win the Scudetto.

Tevez would be a fantastic addition to the Italian club, and his goal-scoring ability would be a massive boost to their attacking depth. They are one point behind Juventus in the Serie A table.

When Pato is healthy, Tevez would team with him and the big Swedish striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, forming an attacking trio that would rival the best scoring combos in the world.

Tevez would certainly be motivated to impress at AC Milan, because his future would be much brighter if he goes to Italy and proves to Europe that he can behave and perform well on the pitch without being a headache for managers.

If Milan really wants to make a move for Tevez, Manchester City would be foolish not to make a deal happen, even if the price is not what they want for the Argentinian striker.

Tevez and Mancini have had their differences this season, and his antics have no place in the City dressing room. Tevez had some really good matches for City, but his time is up at the Etihad Stadium.

It's time for Tevez and the club to move on, and City should do everything they can to make sure he exits the Premier League before the transfer window shuts until the summer
