Bobcats vs. Lakers: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Spread Info and More
The Los Angeles Lakers are a far more talented team than the Charlotte Bobcats, and they have been for a very long time. With that said, the Bobcats are 8-6 against the Lakers all time.
There are just certain teams that know how to give even the most talented teams trouble, and the Bobcats just happen to be the squad that remains a thorn in the Lakers' paw.
Where: STAPLES Center, Los Angeles, CA
When: Tuesday, January 31, 10:30 p.m. ET
Watch: Not Nationally Televised
Live Stream: NBA League Pass
Listen: ESPN Radio
Betting Line: Over/Under: 181.5, Spread: Lakers -12.5
With the history of close games between these two teams, there is no doubt that this matchup will be more of the same. Tons of scoring from both teams and a lack of superior defense will have this game easily going over the 181.5 mark, but I doubt that the Lakers will win by 13. Take the Bobcats with the points.

Lakers Player to Watch: Andrew Bynum
While Andrew Bynum’s career has been somewhat successful, this season, he has become the player they thought they were drafting. Bynum is playing almost 35 minutes a game and has remained relatively healthy all season.
It’s that health that has helped him average the stellar double-double averages of 16.3 points and 12.2 rebounds per game. If Bynum gets going in the post against Charlotte, it will be a long night for the Bobcats.
Bobcats Player to Watch: Kemba Walker
When the Bobcats took Kemba Walker early in the first round of last year’s draft, they knew that his rookie season would be a transition period. What they didn’t know was that he would develop into the kind of role player as a rookie that he has become.
Walker plays almost 30 minutes, averages over 12.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and a steal every time he walks on the court. Watch for the rookie again tonight.
What They’re Saying
ESPN the Magazine is reporting a startling statistic:
Key Matchup: Kobe Bryant vs. Gerald Henderson
With Gerald Henderson probable for tonight’s game, the matchup that will steal the spotlight tonight will be the battle between Kobe Bryant and the ailing Bobcat. Henderson is the lynchpin for the Bobcats, averaging 15 points per game and stuffing the stat sheet. He will need to bring his best defense against Kobe Bryant, who’s averaging over 30 points per game. The winner of this battle will lead his team to victory.
Prediction: Lakers 96, Bobcats 93
