Super Bowl Odds 2012: Point Spread Figures to Be Insignificant on Sunday
The New England Patriots and New York Giants will meet up in Super Bowl XLVI and many sports bettors will spend too much time fretting over the point spread when placing a wager at the betting window.
Las Vegas sports books currently have the Patriots as three-point neutral-site favorites, which should prove to be insignificant when the game comes to its conclusion inside Lucas Oil Stadium.
Victorious NFL teams with a point spread of three points or fewer on either side have amassed an 86-0-6 against-the-spread record during the regular season and playoffs this year.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
I've already suggested an earlier play on the Giants at a more advantageous number and would recommend underdog players to simply wager on the money line from here on out.
New England fans should lay the small number and avoid spending extra cash on the money line, allowing them to invest money saved in the proposition market.
The point spread hasn't been a factor in the big game since Super Bowl XLIII when the Pittsburgh Steelers captured a 27-23 victory over the Arizona Cardinals as 6.5-point favorites.
It's still important to note that six Super Bowls have been decided by three points or fewer, with only one being determined by less than a field goal.
The New York Giants escaped with a 20-19 win over the Buffalo Bills as 6.5-point underdogs in Super Bowl XXV inside Tampa Stadium on Jan. 27, 1991.
Don't get overwhelmed by the odds board on Sunday.
