Novak Djokovic Needs a Seat, Cheaters Love Eli Manning: BR5 1/30
Welcome to BR5—your source for Sports and Pop Culture News.
Today’s episode of BR5 gets you up-to-date on everything from Djokovic's marathon victory to Ochocinco's gifts for his teammates.
Novak Djokovic outlasted Rafael Nadal in a record breaking five sets at the Australian Open this weekend in a match that lasted almost six hours! How were the two fierce competitors rewarded after the marathon match? They weren't given a seat! You’d think the first thing these guys would get to do after slugging it out for a record-breaking five hours and 53 minutes would each be to grab a chair and catch their breath...but they had to stand through several speeches and the awards presentation!
Ochocinco loves his team so much, he’s buying new headphones for everyone. Chad spared no expense in celebrating his first Super Bowl appearance, dropping 28 grand on the “Beats-by-Dre” models for every member of the New England Patriots. Dr. Dre designed the headphones to be awesome...but we’ll see how they do trying to cancel out Ochocinco’s noise...
Women looking to cheat...want to cheat with Eli Manning rather than Tom Brady. A new poll by adultery-promoting website ashleymadison.com says 54 percent of women would prefer to have an affair with Eli over the studly Tom Brady. This poll puts the boyish, cookies-and-milk persona of Eli just ahead of the handsome super model-marrying Tom Brady.
By now everyone knows that New York Giants wideout Victor Cruz celebrates touchdown catches by dancing salsa. He even inspired Fox’s own Michael Strahan to dance during a Bleacher Report interview. However, Mr. Cruz finally met his match when BET personality Rocsi challenged him to a dance-off. Cruz was good but no match for the sexy host of 106 & Park. We bet Patriots fans are hoping to see no dancing from Cruz on Super Bowl Sunday.
The never-ending waltz in Indianapolis...is still spinning. Just when everyone thought Peyton Manning would be anywhere other than with the Colts next season...Indy Owner Jim Irsay says hold your horses. The Colts’ boss says the decision regarding Eli’s injured brother is still up in the air. Irsay says he and Manning are friends and "we want to assure Colts fans everywhere that we are both committed to maintaining our close relationship."
