Senior Bowl 2012 Roster: Kellen Moore and QBs That Will Dominate

The 2012 Senior Bowl will be played on Saturday at 4 PM ET, and there are plenty of reasons to tune in. One reason is quarterback play. There are talented quarterbacks on both rosters, but here are three that will dominate the opposition.

Kellen Moore

Even though Kellen Moore is less than 6’0” tall, I would still give him an opportunity in the NFL. He’s going to prove why on Saturday.

Moore will go down as one of the best college quarterbacks in the history of college football. He passed for 14,667 yards, 142 touchdowns and only 28 interceptions in his career. Moore was 50-3 as a starting quarterback in college.

Truly amazing.

We witnessed one of the best quarterbacks in this era, and there is no reason why teams shouldn’t give him an opportunity at the next level. Saturday will be another example why he deserves at least an opportunity.

Brandon Weeden

Brandon Weeden’s age might steer franchises away from his services, but he can sling the ball just about better than anyone in the country. He passed for 4,727 yards, 37 touchdowns and 13 interceptions this season.

He has had a great career at Oklahoma State, passing for 9,260 yards and 75 touchdowns; he certainly knows how get the job done through the air.

Weeden will find success on Saturday against the best competition he has faced all season long.

Nick Foles

Nick Foles has a great opportunity to put his name into the first-round mix with a fantastic performance on Saturday. His 6’5” 244-pound frame allows scouts to “wow” over his potential in the NFL. He has the arm and he has the ceiling, but he will have to improve upon his turnover issue.

Foles has thrown 24 interceptions in the past two seasons while throwing for 48 touchdowns. That’s a two-to-one ratio, which doesn’t look great.

He will have his opportunity to throw to talented receivers against talented defenders on Saturday. We’ll find out if he’s ready to strive towards the ceiling or crumble to the ground. I believe that his ability to see over the defense will allow him to have a productive day.
