Royal Rumble 2012: CM Punk Being Set Up to Fail vs. Dolph Ziggler
CM Punk fans may be encouraged by the fact that Triple H will be giving John Laurinaitis a job evaluation on Monday night, but they shouldn't be.
Think about it this way: Does Triple H have any reason to have Punk's back?
Hunter and Laurinaitis may not be best buddies or anything, but Punk was a thorn in Triple H's side throughout the summer and early fall.

More than anything, the frustrations with Punk got Triple H sidetracked, which ultimately led to the vote of no confidence.
Laurinaitis clearly knows this. After all, he was the man who replaced Triple H as the head man of Raw. So why would he think twice about screwing Punk over?
There's no reason to think that Triple H will come in and fire Johnny Ace for not calling a fair match. Quite the opposite, actually.
Screwing Punk over is the best thing that the interim general manager can do to save his job.
With Vickie Guerrero and possibly Jack Swagger at ringside to go along with a biased referee, there will be plenty of opportunities to put Punk into bad spots.
The translation of all this is that Punk is doomed. He's gone out of his way to burn any bridges in the locker room.
So, even if someone doesn't like Laurinaitis and/or Ziggler, Punk has given that person no reason to come out and help.
The only semi-allies that Punk has made in recent weeks have been Zack Ryder and Daniel Bryan.
Anyone who watched Raw on Monday knows that Ryder won't be around, and Bryan is going to have his hands full with nearly 1,000 pounds of humanity in the Big Show and Mark Henry.
Sure, John Cena is upset with Laurinaitis, but Punk has done nothing to make Cena an ally. I could see Cena attacking Laurinaitis, but not until after the match is over.
Punk's mouth is going to end up costing him on Sunday. He has gone out of his way to make Laurinaitis screw him, and that's what's going to happen.
The opportunities are there for a screw-job, and the allies aren't there to prevent it. Punk is in a hole that even he can't climb out of.
