WWE News: Latest Update on Goldust Possibly Facing Cody Rhodes
Goldust has made himself pretty clear on Twitter: He wants to face his real-life brother Cody Rhodes in a WWE ring.
The former Intercontinental Champion wants to have a match with the current Intercontinental Champion, and he’s campaigned for a "Career vs. Title" match between the two at WrestleMania 28.
The WWE finally actually kicked off the feud between Goldust and Rhodes several weeks ago, but Goldust was nowhere to be found on last week’s SmackDown, leaving many to wonder when, if ever, the brothers will battle it out.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Well, the latest on the possibility of Goldust vs. Rhodes, courtesy of WrestleZone.com, is: "Most recent creative plans has Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust/Dustin Rhodes to have a match at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in February."
I guess I’m probably a much bigger Goldust fan than most, but I really wish the WWE would hold off on this match until WrestleMania 28.
Unless the creative team has some other huge plans in store for Rhodes at the biggest pay-per-view of the year (such as winning the Money in the Bank match), then there’s really no reason to relegate it to Elimination Chamber.
While today’s generation of fans might not really remember Goldust all that well or be able to respect him for everything he’s done in the business, I think they’d be pleasantly surprised with him if he competed against Rhodes at WrestleMania 28.
I’m not saying it’ll be like watching Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat, but it would be a very good match that could really help improve the show’s undercard. Plus, it’s a great way to put Rhodes over without hurting any full-time wrestler.
He can compete against Goldust in a competitive match, get the pin and then Goldust can call it a career.
Meanwhile, Rhodes can brag about beating his brother, and after beating Booker T as well, he can become somewhat of a second coming of the "Legend Killer" or something along those lines.
I guess I’m getting ahead of myself, huh?
